Vilambit ektaal theka

To change any of the settings click on the text box next to the Stop button.  This will give you a new dialog box where you can change any of the tempo/pitch related settings. Initially, the text box shows: "60 100 d0 d0 d0 devnagari". Here's what that means:

* Tempo :	60
The tempo here is actually 4 times of your desired tempo. 
So, if you want your theka to be 10 bpm, please set the tempo to 40.
Currently, the tempo is set to 60, which translates to 60/4 = 15bpm.

* Repetitions :	100
  The number of times you want the theka to repeat.

* Melody scale :	d0 : A3
The theka does not have a melody, so this option doesn't really matter at all. But I am just setting everything to the same scale.
Just look at the scale after the colon in the "d0: A3" part, so this is "A" scale. The "d0 " just means if C# is your original Sa, then your current Sa is at the komal dha of the original scale.  To change it to A#, you would change it to "D0: A#3" (A# would be shuddha Dha if C# is your Sa).

* Tabla scale :	d0 : A3
See Melody scale above for explanation. This setting is the one that you really need to change for your pitch.

* Baya scale :	d0 : A3
See Melody scale above for explanation.

* Language :	Devnagari
The script that the tabla bols are displayed in. Take a look at all the options available to see which you like best.

You can have the theka playing, and change different settings (click "Apply Settings" in the dialog box each time) and see how that affects the tabla being played.

Once you have your desired settings, just click Play.

You can even edit the bols and add your own flavor to it.
